Position	Quality Assurance Laboratory Manager
Location	Arvin
Description	Provide direction and leadership to laboratory personnel; maintain a database of all results and provide reports to management and customers; monitor and respond to quality indicators; conduct plant inspections to identify potential microbiological contamination areas; assure that all test methods and procedures are documented and meet established industry practices; participate in a round robin testing system to assure that microbiological results are accurate; responsible for training of all microbiological and chemical lab technicians and auditing of results; oversee outside lab results and maintain a database for comparison purposes; conduct research projects targeted at gaining a better understanding of the microflora of carrots; additional projects and duties as it relates to this position.
Requirements	This person must be trainable in personal safety, product safety and job duties. Must be knowledgeable in food processing, equipment and laboratory operations. A Bachelor of Science/Art degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences or related field is required. Must be able to speak and read English. Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus. Must have valid California Driver’s License with no DUI convictions and able to pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and physical.
