SHIFT:  DAY

PURPOSE:

To perform maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

Handle minor breakdowns and build equipment without assistance. Identify parts in catalog and assist mechanics to obtain mechanical parts. Gather tools and equipment to complete a task. Record findings during preventative maintenance. Assist with various duties of maintenance lubrication technician through level II maintenance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

 

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must pass the Maintenance level II qualification exam and demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of the Maintenance level II. Must pass Quality Control Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) testing. Must understand and comply with all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. Must train on all aspects of safety as it pertains to repairs and maintenance of dangerous and potentially dangerous machinery. Must be willing to learn new skills and techniques. Must have good attendance and safety record. Must have a positive attitude and support all production activities when necessary. Must be able to communicate, read, and understand written information in English. Must pass a drug/ alcohol screen and physical, functional capacity evaluation.
