Grimmway Farms Closes First Quarter in New Sales Offices
BAKERSFIELD, CA, January 1, 2017— Late 2016, Grimmway Farms celebrated a milestone as they cut the ribbon of their new sales offices in the heart of Arvin, California on Buena Vista Boulevard. Holding true to its street name, the space is surrounded by striking views of one of the company’s prime organic vegetable ranches.
“We made the move in an effort to support a more mainstream system of sales operations,” says Eric Proffitt, Senior Vice President of Sales. “With sales teams for Grimmway and Cal-Organic farms under the same roof, we are able to better serve our customers, offering a convenient, consolidated buying option for both conventional and organic produce.”
The move has helped Grimmway actively respond to the quickly-evolving organic marketplace. In the past, the produce industry had segmented conventional from organic business, but buyers today are leaning toward efficiency and opting for a more unified, bundled approach. By accommodating this shift, the sales teams at Grimmway have been able to continue carrying out the company’s mission “to take care of our customers’ needs every day of the year with consistent quality, service, and competitive pricing.”
Reviewing this quarter’s performance, Bob Borda, Vice President of Organic Sales, recognizes how the change allows them to meet rising demand: “By combining the two sales teams, we have made it easier for our customers through better communication and service. This is an exciting time as we have seen record growth, and we are now prepared better than ever to tackle it.”
